David is from Kilmainham, Dublin 8. He is 43 years old.  He has enjoyed sketching and painting since his childhood. During his school years he won a number of prizes in the Texaco Art Competition. He continued to draw, sketch and paint occasionally in the years after school and attended some art classes. 

In 2019 he started to attend Art sessions in Double Take studios in Tallaght. Double Take provided Zoom sessions throughout the pandemic which meant that he could spend a lot of his abundant free time at Art. Through Double Take he heard about the Connections Art Centre and was lucky enough to be accepted into the Connections Art Centre programme from the beginning of the programme in 2021. 

The Connections Art Centre provided  training, mentoring,  and support and provided him  with his first opportunity to exhibit in RCSI in June 2022. With the ongoing support and encouragement of the Connections Art Centre he has been involved in many exhibitions over the last three years,  including 2 solo exhibitions - a solo exhibition sponsored by the Avalon Aviation Company 2024 and a solo exhibition in the Fair Play Café, Ringsend, Dublin  2025.
